Cataract surgery is the most common type of eye operation performed around the world. With modern techniques, the recovery is far more rapid than it used to be, and long-term results are excellent in the majority of cases.
I regularly perform eye surgery on patients of all ages. I have extensive experience in adult cataract surgery, eye muscle (strabismus) surgery in children and adults, and many other ophthalmic procedures. Eye surgery is usually performed as a day procedure.
My attention to detail ensures the best outcomes for my patients. It is a good outcome in my log book only if it is a good outcome for the patient.

Eye Muscle Surgery
Eye muscle surgery can be performed for functional or reconstructive purposes. Functional indications are binocular vision in children and to alleviate double vision in adults.
Paediatric Eye Surgery
Children may need eye surgery performed for a variety of conditions. This is performed in specialised surgical centres under general anaesthesia.
